Here at Lacquer we’re often inspired to create new fonts from design elements that we encounter on our travels. Our four standard fonts are listed below, although we are always excited for the opportunity to develop new fonts based on the needs and ideas of our clients.
Acadia is inspired by the classic, nautical style of one of our favorite travel spots: the bayside town of Bar Harbor, Maine near Acadia National Park. Blending New England sophistication with an air of informality, it’s the perfect choice for weddings, announcements, and summer clambakes.
Etosha utilizes a romantic, loose style with sweeping letters and modern flourishing. The font is based on the stylings of the luxury safari lodges we encountered during a trip to Etosha National Park in Namibia. Beautiful on either dark or light paper, Etosha syncs well with intimate events hosted in exotic surrounds.
Lacquer’s founder, Emily van der Linde, developed this font for her garden wedding in Charlottesville, near to Virginia’s iconic Shenandoah valley. The font is classic and elegant—a wonderful option for formal events like weddings and banquets.
Waimea font embraces a modern, playful aesthetic, while retaining readability. It combines well with bright papers and inks, much like the tropical colors found in Waimea Canyon, on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. It is the perfect option for those seeking to infuse a joyful vibrancy into their event.
